Two HealthFirst executives appointed to leadership roles in health insurance industry groups

Tyler, TX – Two senior leaders at HealthFirst have recently been named to leadership roles in  groups representing the health insurance industry

DSC_8532 denise-andrewDenise Andrew, director of account management,  has been appointed to the SIIA (Self-Insurance Industry of America) National Health Care Committee.  The mission of this group is to identify opportunities to create and/or increase membership value for companies involved with self-insured group health plans and to assist the association in communicating its membership services to this market niche.

Andrew joined HealthFirst in 2008 as an account executive, managing some of its largest employer groups, and now oversees the team of account managers and support staff. She has more than 17 years of progressive experience in the self-funded insurance industry, having previously held roles at PPO networks, a claims software company and a national consulting firms. She earned her BBA in business management from Sam Houston State University.

 

 

DSC_6372 kevin-hallKevin Hall, director of underwriting and analytics, has been been appointed to the Board of Directors for TABA (Texas Association of Benefit Administrators) beginning January 1, 2017.  TABA serves the business needs of owners and executives of third-party administration companies engaged in providing services in Texas and to further the advancement of the third-party administrators profession.

Hall oversees all RFP responses and manages the stop loss process, including marketing, placement and claims. He joined HealthFirst in 1998 and has more than 25 years of experience in the TPA industry, getting his start in the field while attending the University of Houston. Hall is a licensed General Lines Agent and has served as a committee member for the Self-Insurance Institute of America.
